Transparency Policy
Last updated: December 22, 2025
At SaferTex, transparency is the foundation of everything we do.
We help brands, professionals, and consumers trust textile claims by providing independent, scientific verification of material composition, origin, and integrity.
Our Mission
Restoring trust in textile materials through verification and transparency.
We aim to promote a more honest, responsible, and traceable textile industry by recognizing brands that prove — not claim — the authenticity of their materials.
Specifically, we:
- Verify declared textile compositions through laboratory analysis
- Assess material integrity, compliance, and traceability
- Publish clear and documented verification results
- Grant a SaferTex verification license to textiles that meet our standards
Our Independence
SaferTex is a 100% independent organization.
- We do not manufacture or sell textile products
- We do not favor any brand or supplier
- Our conclusions are never influenced by commercial relationships
Each textile is evaluated according to predefined scientific criteria, adapted to its nature and use, while strictly respecting our verification protocols.
👉 No SaferTex license is issued if verification requirements are not met.
Why Are Some Services Chargeable?
Operating SaferTex involves real and necessary costs, including:
- Laboratory testing and material analysis
- Documentation and verification reports
- Technical development and database maintenance
- Expert evaluation and scientific oversight
- Continuous improvement of verification methodologies
For this reason, certain services are billed to brands, such as:
- Textile material analysis and verification
- Report generation and documentation
- Licensing rights for SaferTex verification marks
- Additional audits or extended traceability assessments
🔒 Important: No brand can buy a positive verification.
Our conclusions remain objective, rigorous, and evidence-based.
And What About Consumers & Partners?
✅ Verified textiles are clearly identified
✅ No advertising, no sponsorship bias
✅ No commissions on textile sales
A textile carrying the SaferTex verification means:
Its material composition and integrity have been independently tested and validated.
Limitation of Liability
SaferTex provides verification to support informed decisions.
However, SaferTex does not intervene in commercial transactions between brands, suppliers, and consumers.
Final purchasing or sourcing decisions remain the responsibility of the parties involved. SaferTex cannot be held liable for commercial disputes or dissatisfaction.
Our commitment is to deliver accurate, transparent, and reliable verification information.
Our Ethical Principles
We are committed to:
- Granting verification only after thorough analysis
- Never compromising our independence
- Updating records when materials or declarations change
- Providing clear, factual, and accessible information
Textile Samples & Submissions
Textile samples are sourced independently by SaferTex through anonymous purchases.
This approach ensures full objectivity and prevents any brand influence on the verification process.
Please note:
- Verification is never guaranteed
- Materials that do not meet our criteria are not certified
- Only textiles that successfully pass all verification stages are listed and licensed
Our goal: to make SaferTex a trusted reference for textile integrity.
Verified Brands & Textiles
Brands using SaferTex services benefit from:
- Documented verification results
- Transparent material validation
- Access to SaferTex verification tools and licenses
(Verified brands and materials are listed with corresponding documentation when applicable.)
